Fun Surf Camps for all ages at Rosecrans Ave. Held June 20 through September 2, Monday thru Friday, 10 am - 2 pm. Rates are $85 per day or $395 for the full week, and include the use of surfboard and Billabong wetsuit. Personal instruction with 1:4 ratio max. Small groups, just surfing. Adults and kids taught separately.

This past year the South Bay Chapter, incooperation with the Santa Monica Baykeeper, participated in a water qualitymonitoring program conducted by the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project (SCCWRP), dubbed "Bight ‘03”. Volunteers collected water samples from various locations and distances from the shore and delivered them to the lab for analysis. The results are used to create a historical database of pollution levels and water quality in and around well-known polluted sites, to educate our community, and to help shape policies that improve our near shore environment.
